Contour cutting

Ib Andresen Industri carries out cutting assignments using the very latest laser technology and flame cutting. Production quantity, material selection, surface finish requirements, edge section and precision are decisive factors in determining the technique and type of machine we use for each assignment. We will gladly work closely with you to find the right solution for your needs.

We carry out cutting assignments for a wide variety of industrial customers, where sheet and plate components are used in the production process. As regards more specialist tasks, we have manufactured columns for Copenhagen's Metro and bus shelters for the Municipality of Aarhus.

Laser cutting

- is the most suitable technique for thin sheets and complex contours, which require precision and reduced heat impact. We can handle assignments up to a material thickness of between 20-25 mm and a maximum sheet width of 2,000 mm. These orders are executed on the basis of your own drawings or alternatively in collaboration with us. For the manufacture of complex contours with complex hole patterns, we offer a combination of laser cutting and turret punching.

Flame cutting

- is a technique used for larger and thicker materials. Our department in Vejle is responsible for Ib Andresen Industri's flame cutting. We flame cut components up to a maximum thickness of 300 mm and a maximum sheet width of 5,500 mm.

We use a technique which enables us to sharpen the edge into a ‘K' or ‘V' shape, to make subsequent processes such as welding easier. We can supply components ready for assembly, including chip cutting, drilling, coating and packaging.

An example of one of our more demanding assignments is the flame cutting and preparation of ready to assemble covers for a heat exchanger manufacturer.
